Fabulous time. I walked into class today and did my presentation as though I had practiced it the whole time. I felt amazing. I was so nervous and I managed to find so much information on Kawabata as well. He was kind of a depressing writer though and it was partially to do with the death of his entire family leaving him as an orphan. It was amazing that he managed to do so much as well. He was a mentor to so many other writers as well but the saddest part was learning of his death. It was almost hypocritical as he condemned suicide, yet did it on his own free will. He trapped himself in a room and gased himself. It was kind of ridiculous, but I guess with so much pain and depression there was only one track set in his mind.
