I have never loved a class so much! Today, as an assignment, after we read Dadie and Diop we acted out each story. It was so great to see people get excited and to reenact the story. We had free reign to modernize the short story, change the language etc. The group I was in modernized the story and we all got a chance to really have fun. I love when teachers allow this to happen because it always provides the students to have a creative outlook on life and a different view of the story. After we finished this, we talked about being an English major. I have always hated English, but creative writing has always been something interesting to me. I have never been so excited though because today we talked about everything each major entailed. I looked at the requirements for Creative Writing and I have never been so excited. I'm contemplating looking into it as a major. We also talked about how there is going to be a Theater minor, so it might happen for that as well. I'll see how it works out, but I will definitely talk to my adviser about it on Thursday to see how everything works out. Cross your fingers for me!
