We have read poems by Ruben Dario and Pablo Neruda. Dario is from Nicaragua and most of him poems were written in Spanish and then translated to English. It was really cool to know what most of the history about him just from living in Nicaragua. Neruda's poems were just as good and he wrote many poems. Both Dario and Neruda are from Hispanic countries and wrote their poems in Spanish. My favorite poem with out of the two poets was done by Neruda called Tonight I Can Write. The poem was very probably hit a spot with everyone because it talked about a relationship and how hard it is for one to be over. Well next class we are supposed to be reading Amichai. Should be interesting!
